Allice's Cobbler

In the bottom of a 9x13 pan put a generous amount of fresh berries; blue, straw, or rasp, whatever.  Add 2 T. cornstarch, a little water and a bit of raw sugar to the berries and mix.

Sprinkle a little brown sugar and cinnamon on top of berries.

Dry; 2 c. flour

      1-1 1/4 c. raw sugar

      1t. salt

      1t. baking powder

      2 eggs

Mix dry ingredients together.

Blob over fruit and add 2 c. water over top.

Bake 375 degrees 35-45 minutes.

This is my mother-in-laws recipe.  I've used it for almost 30 years now and get rave revues each time I serve it.  I just love the instructions of very old recipes.  "Throw a bit of this in and a bit of that in." ......and "blob this over the top."  My grandma cannot even give me the ingredient amounts for the milk pie her mom used to make.  She makes it to this day by "feel."  She mixes the ingredients right in the pie shell with her fingers!
