Ingredients
2 c. white vinegar 4 c. water
2 c. baking soda 1/2 c. hair conditioner
Directions
When mixing the soda and white vinegar together it will fizz! If you want your softener to be fragrance free just don't use the conditioner. It will work just the same. Add 1/4 c. softener to final rinse. If you have "hard" water use 1/3 c. Shake well each time before using. Makes 2 quarts, I just reuse my old softener bottles.

Notes from Janele
O.K. you all, this is one alternative for expensive fabric softener. We
have made it, used it, and only spent approximately 2 bucks! I did
find hair conditioner on sale for a dollar and we buy our baking soda at
a food co-op but I know there are sales all the time around where you
live and you will get great bargains too. The conditioner doesn't have
to be top of the line since it isn't going on your hair, just go for the
smell, I did!
Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!!!
