Introduction to Soap Making

Friends, there are so many ways to make soap.  Last year a bunch of my friends and I got together and rendered our own fat and made soap. This was a tedious and kind of smelly job but I am so glad I did it.  I have a basic GOAT MILK soap recipe I will pass on to you.  This kind of soap making takes longer (obviously) than the MELT AND POUR but it is incredibly rewarding.  Natural homemade soap varies in color from pale yellow to dark tan depending on the type of fat and ingredients used such as essential oils, honey, or spices.  Coloring can be added using natural vegetable dyes, such as beet, spinach or carrots, or food colorings.  Go ahead, be creative with your soap!
